Wayposts

Process

How it works

Three moves, from empty journal to full travel record. Wayposts stays out of your way so you can focus on the experience, not the tool.

01

Capture

Create the first record with only the fields needed to move. Destination, dates, a one-line summary. The dialog opens, you type, you save. Takes under 30 seconds.

After you create a trip, you can start adding entries — each one is a moment, a scene, or a detail you want to remember. Title, date, and a Markdown body. That's it.

02

Review

Scan trips, entries, and destinations in one pass. The dashboard splits into a list and a detail panel — click a trip on the left, see its entries expand inline.

Filter by year to find a specific season. Search by destination to jump to that week in Lisbon or that weekend in the mountains. The map view groups your trips by place with visit counts. The stats panel shows how many countries you've logged and how many entries you've written this year.

03

Act

Edit, delete, or add entries from the same view. Every action opens a dialog so you never lose the scroll position. Changes reflect immediately across trips, stats, and the map.

If a trip is finished and you want to clean up, delete it — the entries go with it. If you want to rename a destination or fix a date, edit in place. The journal grows with you.
